October is lining up to be a good one for movie lovers in China, with 5 hot titles announcing release dates.
The one we're most excited about is The BFG which is being released 14th October. The Roald Dahl favourite is sure to light up children's imaginations and provide us adults with fond memories of bed time stories!
The first Hollywood release this month is Ben-Hur scheduled for the 10th October. The Roman revenge story features Morgan Freeman in dreadlocks, while Ben-Hur, a prince falsely accused of treason by his adopted brother, an officer in the Roman army, returns to his homeland after years at sea.
Moving on to the 21st October, and Jason Statham will be going head to head with everyone's favourite scientologist Tom Cruise, in the battle of the action movies.
First of all, Tom Cruise stars in the movie re-make of the popular Jack Reacher series of novels, in Jack Reacher: Never Go back. Reacher must uncover the truth behind a major government conspiracy in order to clear his name. On the run as a fugitive from the law, Reacher uncovers a potential secret from his past that could change his life forever.
Jason Staham's offering is the sequel to his 2011 movie The Mechanic - this one is called The Mechanic: Resurrection. Having not seen the first one I can't say for sure, but I'm pretty sure this isn't a biblical reference... Jason Statham's character Arthur Bishop thought he had put his murderous past behind him when his most formidable foe kidnaps the love of his life. Now he is forced to travel the globe to complete three impossible assassinations, and do what he does best, make them look like accidents.
Coming to the end of the month, the 28th October sees Inferno hitting the screens, starring Tom Hanks and Felicity Jones in the latest of Dan Brown's Da Vinci Code series. When Robert Langdon wakes up in an Italian hospital with amnesia, he teams up with Dr. Sienna Brooks, and together they must race across Europe against the clock to foil a deadly global plot.
